This modern, elegant and exceptionally light-footed Hanoverian stallion has a premium pedigree. Sir Shutterfly is the full brother to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s brilliant show jumper Shutterfly.

Sir Shutterfly is a stallion with obvious thoroughbred quality, great power and speed, a good technique and ideal bascule. His light-footedness and scopey jump point towards an international jumping career but he has proven himself to be a successful sire of event horses as well as show jumpers. Sir Shutterfly has an exceptional pedigree. His sire Silvio I, is regarded as one of the most prominent Sandro offspring in the breeding world and on his dam’s side, the thoroughbred connection comes from the Forrest xx. Also interesting is the connection to Gardestern-Wendekreis.

At his 30 day stallion performance test Sir Shutterfly received the maximum score of 10.0 for his scope, technique were awarded with 9.75 and 9.5 respectively he also received 9.0 for temperament and character at his 30 day test.

 

Suitable for

Eventing and Showjumping.  Sir Shutterfly has a proven pedigree for show jumping and is an awesome prospect for eventing given his thoroughbred qualities combined with exceptional jumping ability and movement.

Performance, Results and offspring

Sir Shutterfly is the full brother to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s brilliant show jumper Shutterfly. Meredith and Shutterfly won 55 1.50 m classes, first prize at the Aachen Grand Prix in 2005, an individual bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games in 2006, first prize at the European Championship in Mannheim in 2007, fourth place at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong in 2008 and first prize at the World Cup final in Las Vegas in 2009. Shutterfly has won over EUR 3.29 million in competition prize money to date.

Sir Shutterfly achieved excellent scores in his 30 day test: 10.0 for scope, 9.75 and 9.5 for jumping ability and technique and 9.0 for temperament and character. He qualified impressively for the Bundeschampionat of Five Year Old Show Jumping Horses and competed at 1.50 m level before moving to a career as a breeding stallion. His dam, Famm, was Hanoverian Mare of the Year in 2007. One of her four full sibling children, Salut Bonheur, is an approved stallion and one of her stallion foals sold for EUR 50,000 at the Hanover auction. She also produced Remedi D by Rouletto, a successful show jumper in Italy, Spilo D by Santini, who won the Israel World Cup, and HH Let’s Fly by Lordanos, winner of the Rome Grand Prix with Rodrigo Pessoa. Famm’s stallion foal by Quintender sold for EUR 120,000. Sir Shutterfly’s full sister, Shuttergirl, produced a foal by Quintender which sold for EUR 40,000.

Sir Shutterfly is the only British based stallion who had successful offspring in both 6 and 7 year old finals at Le Lion in 2017. Sir Papillon (Laura Collett) was 4th in the 7 year old finals and Shutterflyke (Miroslav Trunda) was 8th in the 6 year old finals, making Sir Shutterfly one of the best choices for breeding a top class event horse.
